Every aspect of the program is individually designed and personally taught by Matt Kish, an experienced international educator with more than twenty years of experience in leading international schools. From curriculum and scheduling to educational excursions throughout Tokyo, every detail is thoughtfully crafted to meet your child’s academic needs, interests, goals, and learning profile.
What is the Bespoke Homeschool Program?
Traditional schools are designed to educate hundreds of students at once. Our Bespoke Homeschool Program is designed around just one.
Rather than asking your child to fit within an existing curriculum or timetable, we create an entirely individualized academic program that reflects your family’s goals and your child’s unique strengths.
Whether your family requires a full-time homeschool program, a part-time academic schedule, or an intensive summer learning experience, your child will benefit from rigorous academics, one-to-one instruction, authentic learning experiences, and a program that evolves as they grow.

What does a typical week look like?
Because every program is individually designed, no two schedules are exactly alike. Below are examples of programs we have created for families.
Full-Time Elementary Homeschool Program
Monday-Friday | 9:00 am-3:00 pm
A recent full-time elementary program included:

Part-Time Academic Program for Elite Student Athletes
Three days per week | Three hours per day
Rather than simply reducing school hours, this program created an enriching educational experience that complemented the student’s athletic career while maintaining rigorous academic expectations. It included:
- Individualized mathematics instruction
- A fully custom-designed, Japan-focused high school English course
- Monthly interdisciplinary themes connecting literature, history, culture, and current events
- Weekly educational experiences throughout Tokyo
- Monthly family travel itineraries connected to academic learning
- Flexible scheduling around elite athletic training and competition
Summer intensive learning program for a student with learning needs
Four days per week | Three hours per day
Designed for a student spending the summer in Tokyo, this program included:
- Targeted instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics
- Intensive intervention for identified learning needs

- Confidence-building through individualized instruction

How do you utilize Tokyo in the Bespoke Homeschool Program?
Tokyo becomes an extension of the classroom in our Bespoke Homeschool Program. Rather than limiting learning to traditional methods, we thoughtfully incorporate the city’s museums, historical sites, parks, neighborhoods, businesses, and cultural institutions into each student’s educational experience. A history lesson might take place while exploring Edo-period landmarks, a science unit could involve field observations in one of Tokyo’s many parks or gardens, and a writing assignment may be inspired by careful observation at a local temple, market, or architectural landmark.
Every outing is intentionally planned to support the student’s academic goals while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and independence. Students learn to ask meaningful questions, record observations, conduct research, and connect classroom concepts with the world around them. By making Tokyo an active part of the curriculum, learning becomes more engaging, memorable, and deeply connected to the student’s everyday life.

Because every Bespoke Homeschool Program is personally designed and taught by Matt Kish, enrollment is intentionally limited. In most cases, only one Bespoke Homeschool family can be accommodated at any given time.
